It’s been a while, since I wrote a blog and the blogs I have written are about IxESN, but I’d like to make a change this time. As you may know half of the board follows a course in period 3 and the other half in period 4. I’m doing a course now and I’d really like to tell you a bit about it. By the way, it’s so weird to do a course and focus on that fully, it’s half enjoyable because I genuinely enjoy studying (nerd), but I also miss my boardies like crazy.
That’s it. Period 3 is almost over, feels weird, especially since this is the period in which I spent all my time on IxESN. In period 3 and 4 half the board is full time and the other half is doing a course, so next period you might spot me on the campus for the first time in ever. Another weird fact is that we’re already starting to look for boardmembers, just as I finally feel like I -really- know what I’m doing, we’re starting to look for replacements.
It may seem like ages ago, but a while ago it was almost Christmas. And with almost Christmas comes…. CHRISTMAS MARKETS!
Initially I wasn’t so excited, because I’m not a Christmas-y person in the sense that I like all the fluff and Christmas songs. However, I was convinced to come along to Dusseldorf anyway and it was the best decision I could have made.
We had been excited for so long about this trip. Since the national board announced we were going to Prague, we were looking forward to it as a board. Also, for us it was going to be more like a holiday than one of our usual responsible excursions.
This week I’d like to tell you a bit more about the International part of IxESN! Last week we had our first National Platform (NP), and we travelled all the way down to the very south of the Netherlands to a lovely city called Maastricht. Here we met the boards of the 15 other ESN sections in the Netherlands!
To make your time in Wageningen all fun and parties, there’s a lot of stuff happening in the background. This usually happens at our office, which is why I’d like to describe a typical shift to you guys.
This weekend we had our first big excursion: we went to Oktoberfest in Munich, and boardie Janneke tells u her experience!
