Join IxESN Wageningen to the famous Oktoberfest in Munich!
"Oktoberfest (German pronunciation: [ɔkˈtoːbɐˌfɛst]) is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, it is a 16 – 18-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. Locally, it is often called the Wiesn, after the colloquial name for the fairgrounds (Theresienwiese). The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations that are modelled after the original Munich event."
We will leave on Friday evening the 22nd of September in Wageningen, enjoy the Oktoberfest festival during the whole day the 23rd, and return in Wageningen on Sunday morning the 24th. We will sleep in the bus both ways, where FREE snacks (breakfast) will be provided by us!
On the site we will have guides, and information packages will also be provided (plus a gadget).
Don't forget to bring your valid membership card!
Buy your tickets at our office during opening hours or BUY THEM HERE.
Note: beers and food on the festival site are NOT included in the price, so bring some (cash) money yourself as well!
